Why did The New Ole Fashioned break its initial promise to never go digital?
Well, it came down to quality and time consumption. It took more time than I had to doodle and color the comics, and I quickly realized that the comic would fall apart if I didn’t change the format. Since I certainly didn’t want the quirkiness to end, I tried sketching the comics on a tablet and found it worked well, so I made the decision to move to a digital format.
In case you want it summed up quickly:
1) I was strapped for time.
2) I didn’t want to make a crappy comic or stop making the comic altogether.
3) Tablet provided a good way to still do everything I wanted to do.
Conclusion: Switch to making the comic digitally.
